HTC EVO Shift 4G appears in some more spy shots

If there’s anything that my cold, black heart loves, it’s slide-out phone keyboards (and fluffy bunny wabbits). So, despite its enormous name, and fact that I’ll never see it in my home country of Australia, I like the HTC EVO Shift 4G.

So, I’m happy to report news today of some more spy shots of the HTC E-S-4 emerging over at Phone Arena. And not just spy shots, mind you, also information. And if there’s anything I love more than than slide-out phone keyboards and fluffy bunny wabbits, it’s information.

So, on with it then!

It looks like the HTC Super Shift Mega 4G is rockin’ an 800MHz processor, which — combined with that all-too familiar QWERTY keyboard — is a pretty good sign that this will be a Sprint WiMax compatible version of the T-mobile G2 (aka HTC Desire Z), which is, of course, actually a good thing.

One feature of note in the pictures are the LED lights on the keyboard that appear to be for the caps lock (perhaps the guy who named the EVO needed one of these on his phone? LOOOOOL!) and function keys. It’s also pretty clear that, unlike the G2, the phone is running HTC Sense (likely the new version, as seen on the Desire Z).

Some rumours have pointed to a January 2011 release, but we’re yet to hear anything official from Sprint.
