The CHOBI CAM is one ultra-small video camera

Tokyo-based Japan Trust Technology (JTT) today announced the CHOBI CAM G200 [JP], a video camera whose main selling point is that’s very, very compact (47×17×47mm) and light (34g).

In fact, JTT calls the device the world’s smallest camcorder with a built-in LCD screen (1.44 inches). The CHOBI CAM lacks a speaker, but comes with a microSD/SDHC card (8GB max.) slot, a USB port and 8x digital zoom.

Users can shoot video in AVI format (640×480 resolution at 30fps), or pictures with 2,560×1,920 resolution (as JPEGs). It’s also possible to use the CHOBI CAM as a voice recorder. The battery lasts up to 135 minutes.

JTT plans to roll out the CHOBI CAM G200 in Japan tomorrow (price: $150). Ask import/export specialists Japan Trend Shop or Geek Stuff 4 U if you’re interested but live outside Japan.
